I wanted a school where I didn’t have to petition to enter their program or get stuck on a waitlist to attend. I needed something quick as well, and Herzing met every requirement I had. While I was nervous about the pace of an eight-week course, I ended up loving it overall despite how quickly it went by.
Throughout my time here, Professor Motley had the most significant impact on me and was without a doubt one of my favorite professors. She's incredibly smart and challenges you in the way nurses should be challenged. I'm thankful to have had her as my teacher! Professor Tinsley was also a great support, and her unique personality added a nice touch to my studies. Megan was always there to guide me through my journey, even when I wasn't sure about things. All of these people were exactly what I needed to find success, so thank you for being there for me.
Even though I failed the exit exam twice and had to repeat a course, I buckled down and kept working until I found success. It was all a struggle, but I came out on the other side eventually!
Currently, I’m waiting for my license to be granted so that I can accept a new position at my current workplace of nine years. If I’ve learned anything from this experience, it’s that you can achieve anything you put your mind toward. Things may get hard and feel like they’re taking forever, but it is possible! I love Herzing and if I ever go back to earn my RN, I’ll be returning here!
